CUBES

"Cubes" is a tribute to Milan, the adopted city of Daniela Forcella, with its unmistakable neoteric and futuristic skyline; whether this be the last or the penultimate would all depend on the new construction sites in progress. By assembling cubes in mirrored Plexiglass, from which her iconic polychrome resin hearts unexpectedly protrude from its surface, the artist has built a series of architectural constructions. This is a choice that intends to humanize the concept of "urban agglomeration": often aseptic and not adorned with any explicit reference to the human inhabitant. Considering how easily assimilated this is in all the great metropolises of our planet, it is not easy to avoid, even in Milan, albeit a place where it is more dispersed.
